Born in London, England in 1947, Mel Martin has been tempting us with her tantalizing body since she made her screen debut in 1969 (what a year to make your debut!). The daughter of an artist, Mel has spent most of her career working in television since getting her start on an episode of the London cop show Special Branch, including playing the effing hot Victorian era babe Violet Effingham on The Pallisers and Deborah Riscoe in the crime whodunnit Cover Her Face. We’d hate to see Mel’s face covered, but we’d be okay if it meant more body parts were left clothes-free. The mm good tasty treat that is Mel Martin has made the occasional film here and there, including the union drama Business as Usual (1987) and the Clint Eastwood big game hunting film White Hunter, Black Heart (1990). But her most skinsational role to date came on the British horror anthology series Chiller where she appeared on the 1995 episode “The Man Who Didn’t Believe in Ghosts.” Mel can be seen getting sudsy in a bathtub, revealing her right breast as she climbs in, but when a chandelier is about to fall on her, she leaps out of the tub, revealing her booty and some sensational back burger! It’s hard to be chill after seeing that sensational sexiness in the ghost show. Let’s just say it gives “bustin makes me feel good” a whole new meaning! Mel moved on to play Demelza in Poldark (1996), a role later reprised by ravishing redhead Eleanor Tomlinson, as well as Ms. Sumner on Eastenders, but is likely best known as Madeline Aires on the hospital drama Casualty. We wish Mel Martin would return to the kind of casual nudity she gave us in Chiller.
